There’s something to be said for having been there/done that as many times as you have. Not only does it bestow the wealth of knowledge that only experience can bring, but it gives you a street cred others respond to. You can speak to people facing hard times and they will find comfort and direction in your words. It’s ironic that for someone who’s always been plagued with self-doubt that you would become everyone’s Rock of Gibraltar, but maybe that’s what struggles with unanswerable questions brings? In any case, it’s your singular take on a troubled situation that’s needed now and not empty platitudes.
