MenÕs egos are wired differently than womenÕs. TheyÕre much more hypersensitive and defensive. For instance women have no problem apologizing for a mistake whereas trying to get a man to cough out the words ÒIÕm sorryÓ without resorting to waterboarding is nearly impossible. This is why itÕs important to be supportive and welcoming on Wednesday when a penitent lover or spouse re-emerges from his man cave with his tail tucked between his legs. He knows that he did wrong, but donÕt confront him with that or rub his nose in it. Be gentle, show positive encouragement, and heÕll cop to his crankiness before too long.
