Don’t be so quick to clean up after the latest debacle. You’re always the one to salvage the situation, to smooth over the ruffled feathers with soothing words, or paper over those cracks in a relationship so perhaps it’s time to let things be for now and to see what the other party is going to do? You may think that he doesn’t care, but there’s good reason to believe that he does. He’s just never been given the opportunity to show it. Sit on your hands if need be, don’t do the talking for him, and you will see him reach out to you.
