Perhaps the most vexing thing going on in your relationship right now is that you and your partner both feel like you’re each making all the sacrifices and that those sacrifices are in vain. This echoing of one another can become infuriating when it comes to trying to get your message across because it feels like they’re coopting what you say in order to use your words against you. In truth you’re both right and you’re both wrong, but finding a way to reconnect won’t be easy. It will require a willingness on both sides to suspend disbelief and to listen with fresh ears.
