You need to show initiative – especially now that nobody else is. Waiting on others to make decisions would be like watching grass grow. You know that it will eventually, but not in a timely fashion. However should you take the lead this week then you will see colleagues and superiors eagerly fall into line. In fact your decisive action at this time could reinvigorate a project that’s been floundering. It will also cause a higher-up to revise his opinion of you. He wasn’t quite sure that you had what it takes, but now that you’ve stepped up to the plate he’s certain you do.
