The setup of your life is changing. That’s why you can no longer ask loved ones and friends to be understanding when you show up late or reschedule a get-together last minute. What you thought was a temporary situation at work is looking more like the new normal and the people in your life recognize it even if you don’t. What’s needed is a sit down talk. Nobody’s asking you to quit your job; just that you treat them like a priority. Clearly you wouldn’t keep anyone hanging at work so it only stands to reason that you shouldn’t keep anyone hanging at home either.
