Your Ruling Planet Mercury is in the zodiac sign of Pisces.  Pisces is ruled by Neptune, the planet of illusion, disillusionment, and unconditional love.  Neptune is named after the Roman God of the seas.  Other worldly and mysterious, Neptune energy is connected to our unconscious.  Actually, it’s connected to what the psychologist Carl Jung called the Collective Unconscious, which is the dreaming mind of our civilization.  When Neptune energy is strong (like it will be from February 17 to March 5) then the lines in the sand that we draw between ourselves and other people are washed away.

For months you had hoped that a certain problematic situation would resolve itself – or better yet: just go away. The lunar eclipse on Jan. 31 shows that this won’t be happening. If anything you need to take decisive action before it’s too late. For some Children of Mercury you will have to cut ties or cut your losses in order to salvage your situation. For others, this might require a tough love conversation, intervention, or “come to Jesus” meeting with a loved one, friend, or associate. Whatever the nature of the encounter, it can’t just be angry and confrontational. You need to back it up with a long-term plan aimed at helping someone to help himself.

On Feb. 3 you get the green light for a heartfelt project or endeavor. It’s something that you’ve been eager to get started so it will feel good to really sink your teeth into it. Unfortunately a negative planetary aspect on Feb. 13 shows someone trying to trip you up. It will be hard to tell if this person really is citing a technicality or is actively working behind-the-scenes to derail you. It’s best to avoid making the encounter personal (even if it is) and to consult the rulebook. If you can show that everything you’re doing is kosher and up-to-date then no one will be able to undermine your efforts.

The solar eclipse on Feb. 15 coincides with a marvelous Mercury/Uranus sextile. This points to some exciting developments over the next six months. You’ll notice that people and circumstances are aligning themselves in a certain way as to promote your interests in ways you couldn’t have foreseen. Maybe it’s an idea of yours that’s time has come, a remarkable meeting with a remarkable friend of a friend who can really open doors for you, or someone from your past circling back to hire you for a position. In any case it will be as unplanned as it will be unexpected, but if anyone can keep pace with developments as fast as they unfold it would be a Child of fleet-footed Mercury. That said, your Ruling Planet Mercury changes signs on Feb. 17. Check back here then to see what this means for you.
