SATURN OUT OF RETROGRADE

Saturn has always had a parental feel. It’s not a proud father or a loving mother, but rather a stern disciplinarian whom we might fear (or despise) but secretly long to win the approval of. It’s because things don’t come easy under Saturn’s influence that we cherish its rewards the most. Lavish praise and warm affection may make us feel better in the moment, but they don’t really last; whereas knowing that we mastered an obstacle or passed a test we didn’t think we could – does. Last June Saturn turned retrograde and since then you may have experienced a laxity in your life. Guards were lowered, expectations subdued, and restrictions lifted. The going wasn’t as tough – which is nice – but efforts weren’t really paying off either. Some people may even have celebrated the absence of a supervising agency. On November 4th Saturn comes out of retrograde and you will feel its presence immediately. It will be like the end of Dr. Seuss’s Cat in the Hat when the Mom comes home. Some people will resent having to clean up their act in a hurry, while others will welcome the return of a sense of order that’s been sorely missed.
