Venus conjunct Jupiter
It’s always nice when the two benefics form a conjunction in the heavens – especially since Venus and Jupiter share a lot of history in mythology and Astrology. Both symbolize love and love making, both are known for their extramarital affairs and both are famous for bringing a little bit of heaven down to earth. However Venus is older than Jupiter. In Greek Mythology Venus springs to life when Uranus is castrated by his son Saturn. This means Uranus was Jupiter’s grandfather which makes Venus Jupiter’s Aunt. Of all the deities given a place on Mount Olympus, Venus is neither Jupiter’s sibling nor child. She is his peer and perhaps superior in that she can make Jupiter a slave to love (and often does!) Jupiter cannot overrule Venus, yet they enjoy each other’s company – which is good news when they come together in Cancer; zodiac sign of Jupiter’s exaltation. This augurs a wonderful time for romance, obviously, but also fertility because both planets are named after gods of love. Their conjunction is wonderful for bringing people together under one roof – like a gathering or community – as well as for anything that has to do with real estate, property, and home ownership (all things associated with Cancer.). In a business context this conjunction is excellent for mergers and acquisitions, so if you are looking to combine forces with another company or if you are working for a company that’s being acquired, then this conjunction is favorable to you either because you will benefit from this personally or you will be protected during this time which means you’ll be one of the people they keep on after the two companies come together. Signs most affected: Taurus, Cancer, Virgo, Scorpio, and Pisces
