Jupiter square Saturn
Jupiter and Saturn have history in Astrology. In Greek Mythology Saturn overthrew his father Uranus in order to establish his reign in Heaven and when Saturn’s son Jupiter came of age, he overthrew his father in turn. These planets represent the archetypal battle of the generations with the younger generation (Jupiter) accusing the older one of being repressive and retrograde while the older one (Saturn) feels like the younger one is untried and reckless. You may feel yourself to be on one side of this square or the other. You could be the one pushing for change or the one resisting it. Usually squares are combative and irreconcilable, but Saturn in Pisces is ruled by Jupiter in Gemini so it’s Saturn that must ultimately bend the knee. However just because Saturn relents doesn’t mean anything has been settled because if proposed changes don’t bring about the promised results then there will be a backlash this December when these two planets square again. Signs most affected: Gemini, Libra, Sagittarius, Capricorn, and Aquarius
