Oh, Pisces. You’re so full of dreams as 2017 opens, it’s a miracle you don’t float away on them! You’d like to, in fact. But as you’ve learned, that never works for long. Your Ruling Planet Neptune is moving ever so slowly through your own zodiac sign of Pisces over a period of fourteen years. This amplifies your typically Piscean characteristics of being sensitive, intuitive and spaced out. Neptune’s effects bring a watery influence in its wake. It dissolves, washes away, leaks and erases. Not everyone deals well with such repercussions, but Pisces does.

You already know the tricks of the trade for making the most of the process. Let go. Hanging on to the past only makes the present intolerable. End things that are ready for it. Straightforward things like paying off bills, getting rid of unwanted personal effects, even losing weight are more easily accomplished this year. Wrap up and finalize. Do it gracefully, without rancor or blame. Just move on.

The first two weeks of January find you sensitive and mushy, yet creatively excited. Lose yourself in your art and music. Images and imagery are important now. Have your picture taken, or do it yourself. Purchase something new for the walls of your bedroom or office, or let someone else do it for you. Pisces likes it when others offer to pay the way! Parties and social engagements, lunch dates with girlfriends, even purchasing cosmetics or clothes are all fine activities to start the year. Do set a dollar limit so you don’t go overboard, but there’s nothing wrong with investing in things that make you feel good. That’s always attractive!

In February, you catch wind of a financial deal that sounds too good to be true. You seriously consider getting involved. It looks bulletproof! The heavens say differently, though. Your cosmic alert is that Money Planet Venus is turning retrograde in your Sector of Finances and Resources on March 4. This means reversals, back tracks and almost certainly that you’ll have a change of heart. To avoid that, postpone this investment or any other big financial decisions. The green light for significant financial moves does not come until May.

An eclipse in your Sector of Self occurs on February 26. Eclipses are major celestial events that indicate endings and beginnings. This is yet another step in a process that started over a year ago. Your footprint is getting lighter, and it’s good to walk gently on the earth. If you’re one of the many Pisces troubled by anxiety or worry, this eclipse is a perfect time to consciously and effortlessly let that pattern go. In the end, after all, we control nothing. Purposefully and deliberately replace old mental habits with mindful meditation, deep breathing, and uplifting visualization. You’ll notice the difference right away. These new practices will result in positive change instead of pointless movement.

A disruption on the home front in May and June reveals a big family secret, long hidden away. The new information calls into question some of your most fondly regarded beliefs about yourself, your origins and your past. You don’t want to accept it at first. But by the end of June, not only have you owned this new identity, you’ve embraced it, much to the chagrin of some others. Let them stew. You deserve this after all you’ve sacrificed.

A powerful eclipse on August 21 amplifies and increases matters in your House of Health and Work. Problems, delays and obstacles that you’ve experienced in your profession for the past couple of years come to a peak now, or up to three months before and/or after. Although the situation took years to build, it takes only moments to resolve. An unexpected coalition emerges which cobbles together an agreement that affects you favorably in several areas: your daily work environment, your reputation and your income. Once things settle down in that department and a decision is reached, your health improves.

You’ll feel like a deer in the headlights come September. You’re called down from your Piscean cloud by a matter of practical reality, or by someone who has facts that don’t exactly support your idealistic world view. When they get even bolder by the end of the month, you execute the classic Pisces move; you vanish. The text, email or phone message simply never gets answered. Your opponent is left to stew in his own soup while you swim off into the vast deep sea. Don’t let them tell you Pisces can’t detach.

You’re thinking about the higher purpose of your whole existence as the year draws to a close. You feel the divinity within yourself and at the same time, your spiritual awareness is expanded. This state feels quite natural to you, Pisces, and you could stay there forever, except for one thing. You’re still here! Earth beckons: Come back, little Fishie! Fortunately, after December 19, you’ll be able to count on your friends to help you walk the spiritual path with practical feet.
