Yearly Horoscope: Pisces – 2021

You begin the year with Jupiter and Saturn having entered your solar 12th house. This is an area of the chart pertaining to retreats, mysticism, and things that are hidden or unclear. As a Pisces, you’re used to all three. You need a lot of alone time, you’re naturally in tune with underlying energies, and you often enjoy getting lost at sea. While this is your comfort zone, it’s important that you don’t stay adrift or remain in your dreams for too long. This is a year about taking care of old business, tying up loose ends, and getting rid of things you’ve outlived, which will require your attention. Transitions and endings are just as important as beginnings because you can’t welcome in the new without first making room for it. What are you holding onto that’s no longer serving you? Relationships, jobs, or other commitments will need to be evaluated.

The square between Saturn and Uranus on February 17th marks the beginning of these shifts. Perhaps a friendship has been more draining than mutually beneficial, but you’re not quite sure how to change the dynamic. Maybe a neighbor who you’ve done favors for begins to ask for more or it could be that a sibling is self-sabotaging again and you’re wondering how involved to get. As a sign familiar with the blues, you’re usually the first to lend a hand when others need help. However, it’s important to remember what’s emotionally yours and what’s emotionally theirs. As a water sign, you tend to absorb other peoples’ feelings. But this is a year about expunging others’ energy instead. Thankfully Mercury’s conjunction with Jupiter on March 4th helps you to say what you need to while keeping you in everyone’s good graces.

April 10th marks a financial opportunity when Jupiter sextiles Venus and the Sun in your solar 2nd house. As a Jupiter-ruled sign, you’re generous with your resources, giving money away on a whim to a cause you believe in or to a stranger who is in need. This time, however, it’s you who is receiving. Perhaps investments you made are paying off or your job gives you a bonus. What goes around comes around in some way or another, a mantra you know better than anyone.

Jupiter enters your own sign of Pisces on May 13th, marking a time where you’re beginning to come into your own. This is a sneak peek of what’s to come in 2022 when Jupiter enters Pisces for good. Perhaps you start a temporary gig now that later becomes more permanent. Maybe you take an introductory course that leaves you wanting to delve deeper. Or it could be that you take a trip, beginning to sense what freedom feels like again after being restricted for so long. And with May 26th’s Lunar Eclipse happening in your solar 10th house, these opportunities may have you pursuing a different life direction that is more aligned with your dreams.

June 10th brings another Eclipse, this time in Gemini and in the part of your solar chart pertaining to home, family, and endings. This Eclipse is square to Neptune, suggesting that although changes need to be made, you’re on the fence about them and don’t have all the data. Perhaps there’s an elusive health issue with a family member and you’re not sure what to try next. Or maybe you’re deciding whether to buy property, but something doesn’t feel right. Closely following is the second Saturn Uranus square, suggesting that you’ll need to make a 180 turn with these plans. For instance, a home remodeling project you began earlier might have been in vain because the floor boards need to be pulled up. This also brings back themes from earlier in the year around the issue of letting go. While you were able to shed some of your prior responsibilities then, think about what else you can dump. This would be a terrific time to do a deep clean of your house, getting rid of extra stuff that is weighing you down. Or maybe it’s time to take a break from social media if it’s been hijacking your attention too much.

There’s a lovely trine between Jupiter and Mercury on July 12th, suggesting some good news regarding your child, a creative project, or a romantic interest. Perhaps you’re asked to go on a second date. Maybe your kid wins a prize at school. Or, you may feel inspired to write poetry or do some other form of creative writing. Take advantage of the good times now because you could be facing some steep challenges between July 29th and August 19th. There could be conflicts with co-workers or a struggle to maintain good health due to unexpected stressors. Be careful with your diet and body maintenance. Increased duties at work may have you pressed for time and you may not be eating properly.

Thankfully things smooth out again on September 6th when Jupiter trines Venus in Libra. This is also a time when you may receive gifts from out of the blue, such as an inheritance or money from family. Venus attracts, and in Libra, she’s able to do so especially well. With seductive Venus in your solar 8th house of sex and intimacy, sexual and romantic pleasures abound. Perhaps the person you’re dating knows how to spoil you and they take you on an expensive date or fund a couple’s spa day. All of this sweet treatment may have you overlooking some underlying issues, however. Come November 15th – December 8th, you’ll need to face them when Jupiter squares the Sun, Mercury, and then Mars in Scorpio. The problems will likely have to do with differences of culture or values. Perhaps your sweetheart is from another country and you’re beginning to bump into differing expectations around gender roles or other social norms. Maybe there are disagreements around religion or political beliefs. Are these deal breakers or is there a way you can make it work? December 11th is a good time to sit down and talk about it.

December 24th brings the final square between Saturn and Uranus. Have you succeeded in breaking bad habits, purging toxic relationships, and offloading responsibilities you no longer want? If not, this is the last chance to do so. As a mutable sign, you’re used to transitions. As an empathic sign, however, it’s difficult for you to let go when you think you’re letting others down. Clear your psychic cache. There will always be more people to help, new projects to start, and other philanthropic groups to join. The sense of renewal you’ll receive by giving yourself the rest you deserve will help you to consciously choose what you want to be part of and what is most replenishing for you. Jupiter’s “official” entrance into Pisces a few days later marks new beginnings for you as well as a renewed sense of purpose, which you’ll be exploring throughout 2022.
