Yearly Horoscope: Taurus – 2021

You kick off the year feeling confident in your beliefs about who you are and how you want to be seen by others when your ruling planet Venus trines Mars and Uranus in Taurus. This feels like a breath of fresh air as you’ve spent much of 2020 in self doubt and worry over your market value, especially last June when Venus went retrograde in Gemini. Taurus is an earth sign, meaning that security and comfort is your top priority. You don’t like to budge and you appreciate consistency, which can be a downfall if you become too set in your ways and refuse to take a chance. However, Uranus in Taurus since 2018 has challenged your ideas of safety. You’ve gotten used to the unpredictable and have become more emboldened and courageous which has pushed you in directions that have surprised you along with everyone else.

Venus in Aquarius makes you feel impatient with the status quo at work. Normally a consistent and reliable worker, you are frustrated with doing things the same way they’ve always been done. With all the unnecessary paperwork, outmoded rules, and endless meetings leading to nowhere, you feel as though these procedures could drastically improve by becoming more streamlined and efficient. As a result, you advocate for changes that you think are long overdue on February 6th when Venus conjoins Saturn and then squares Uranus. Unfortunately, your ideas are seen as too progressive and too hard to implement at this time. This leaves you feeling disheartened and discouraged.

Thankfully late February brings a well-needed break from work. It’s tough feeling like your ideas are dismissed, but at least your friends recognize and appreciate your brilliance and your dedication to progress. You can find solace now through spending quality time with them because they make you feel good about yourself and you genuinely enjoy their company. Don’t put anything on your calendar on March 13th, except for a movie and a glass of wine. As a sign represented by the bull, you are known for your ability to work tirelessly in the fields. But you are also just as capable of enjoying the fruits of your labor.

In late March you are called to mediate a few squabbles at work. Usually not a big fan of conflict, you find that you’re pretty good at helping people to resolve their differences. The result is your coworkers see you in a new light and begin to look to you for leadership. Could this be the platform you’ve been looking for for your ideas? Take this opportunity to develop teamwork and move towards the changes you want to make. Be wary that Venus is also traveling through that part of your solar chart that pertains to self-sabotage. Try not to overreach or you could end up creating problems for yourself because people see you as intruding on their turf. As a Taurus, wanting things to be yours is not an uncommon desire, but it also means that jealousy is one of your downfalls.

Now that you’ve gotten co-workers on your side, you’re in a position to create the progress and innovation at work you’ve been looking for. Venus’s conjunction to Mercury on April 25th denotes your ability to communicate your ideas to your boss convincingly and with respect for their concerns. You’re permitted to implement your plans and do so successfully, leaving a good impression of your capabilities. Come May 19th, you’re rewarded for your efforts by being trusted with more responsibility. It’s time to accept this recognition gracefully and take pride in your perseverance for furthering along your cause.

Unfortunately strife on the homefront steals your focus in early July. It could be that you discover an entitled relative has been monopolizing the property your family shares and you decide to set them straight. Perhaps you made a promise to someone in your family that you’re not willing or able to keep. Or maybe you run into disputes with the contractors who are remodeling your house because they aren’t upholding their end of the deal. There are many possibilities. As a fixed earth sign, you are known for your impenetrable boundaries and will stand your ground when it comes to protecting what’s yours, including your opinions and your will. Amidst chaos, you prioritize defense until you are sure you are on stable ground again. This will be possible on August 3rd when Venus in Virgo trines Uranus in Taurus. The catch is that in order for you to get your fair share in the deal, you must be willing to negotiate, possibly getting less than what you wanted or hoped for.

Come August 16th, you begin to prioritize your well-being when Venus enters Libra in that part of your solar chart having to do with health. Libra is a sign about rules and the importance of keeping commitments. Your sign Taurus is famous for its follow-through and persistence. Come August 23rd, you decide to create a contract with yourself regarding your fitness goals with Venus’s trine to Saturn, the planet of discipline. By September 6th, you will see that your dedication has paid off and you feel better than ever, both physically, mentally, and emotionally. Make sure to celebrate your hard work on this day and treat yourself to something that both feels good and that is good for you, such as a massage.

September 17th denotes a challenging time for someone close to you, as Venus enters Scorpio in the partner-sector of your solar chart. Especially between September 17th to the 23rd, you will need to find new ways that you can be there for your loved one as they struggle through setbacks and transitions. Your steady and dependable nature is always comforting, but it is your newfound ability to roll with the punches and experiment with change that inspires them to do the same. You’ve learned to act on faith and are beginning to realize that disruptive life events can also serve as course correctors. Use your newfound wisdom to cheer this person on and help them to embrace new circumstances as opportunities to go after what they truly want. This pays off on October 28th when they find themselves in an even better position than they were in before.

Venus wraps up the year with another retrograde. Normally this would really frustrate you, but you’ve learned the art of going with the flow and to adapt to inconveniencing situations more easily. Learning to be flexible has been a big lesson for you in 2021, but you’ve also acquired other new skills. These include trying on new roles, working with others to achieve a common goal, and seeking compromise amidst strife. In addition, 2021 has been a testament to your ability to trust more in bold moves and out-of-the-box decisions. There will be plenty of time to practice and perfect these skills in 2022.
